Animal husbandry Ladakh singed MoU with NDDB

Leh: The Department of Animal Husbandry UT Ladakh has signed a MoU with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to carry out a bench mark survey in the Union Territory of Ladakh, for development of the dairy sector in the UT Ladakh.

The benchmark survey is one of the pre requisite for the implementation of centrally sponsored National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD), which is being implemented throughout the country and UT Ladakh has been allotted with a funding of Rs. 11.33 crores for the development of Dairy Sector. Under the MoU, the NDDB team will impart training to the officials of Animal Husbandry Department, UT Ladakh for survey, monitoring and supervision of the survey.

The MoU was signed by Administrative Secretary Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Departments, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar in presence of Dr. Stanzin Rabgais from Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Dr. Stanzin Thakchos, OSD with Administrative Secretary UT Ladakh, in the office chamber of Administrative Secretary, Civil Secretariat, Leh.
