Leh, September 29: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by a delegation from Kargil at Raj Niwas today.
The delegation comprised Sheikh Nazir Mehdi, President Jamiat-ul-Ulama, Isna Asharia, Kargil, Capt. Mohd Hussain and Sajjad Kargili. They apprised the Lt. Governor of the road connectivity issues, especially during winter months and requested the LG to take up the issue of expedited construction of the Zoji-la tunnel and earliest possible civil air connectivity in Kargil. General issues of development of Kargil by the UT Administration were also discussed.
The issues were discussed in detail and the Lt. Governor gave assurance to address these issues.
