First ever apple grading machine inauguted at J&K’s Pulwama

Pulwama,Sep 03 : First-ever apple grading machine was inaugurated in Drabgam village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday which will be the first such machine in whole South Kashmir.

Director of horticulture, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat who inaugurated the machine, on the occasion said, “This initiative will be quite beneficial for the local orchardists and will reduce time in apple packing”.

Dr. Nisar Ahmed Latoo , a local progressive and experienced orchardist is the person behind this innovative initiative, who believe that farmers should focus on modern technologies in farming to compete in the global market.
In a message while interacting with our correspondent, director horticulture said that in coming time these machines will spread throughout Kashmir so that farmers time in apple packing will be reduced upto a greater extent.
