Directs to constitute teams of 50 Guardian officer’s at each block levels for effective management of home isolation to reduce the risk of transmission*

Doda, August 29: Responding to the decision taken by the UT Govt of J&K to send asymptomatic Covid patients to the home isolation, DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode convened the meeting of the concerned Officers/officials of health and Revenue department to discuss the modalities of home isolation in detail,which held here at DC office Doda today.

During the meeting DDC in detail counts the number of important measures which are highly important to conduct the home isolation exercise in effective manner which includes team constitution of 50 Guardian officer’s at block level,to provide the facility of pulse oximeter to every Covid patients, fixation of red flags and information poster at the entry of patients house, awareness of surrounding public and family members, besides testing of Covid patients were also discussed during the meeting.

DDC also directed the District Epidemiologist to frame comprehensive SOP’s today itself with regard to the home isolation, besides directed the Tehsildars to ensure in writing that all the SOP’s are being followed by the Covid patients in home isolation properly.

Referring it a highly specific exercise, DDC said that only medical team is empowered to take final call whether the Covid patient is eligible for home isolation or not subject to the fulfillment of some necessary guidelines which includes to have the facility of separate bedroom, bathroom etc.

Besides informed that pregnant ladies of third trimester, person with co-morbidities,above 60 years of age etc shall be put in administrative quarantine.

DDC also said that if any Covid patient under home isolation will be found in violation of the set protocol,he or she will face the strict legal course of action under Disaster Management Act rules and regulations.

DDC directed the BMO’s to regularly monitor the home isolation of Covid patients which includes health card monitoring, besides directed to ensure that all the necessary documentation is being done by the Guardian officer’s before the person is being put under home isolation.

DDC also directed the BMO’s to conduct the capacity building of all the Guardian officer’s in the upcoming days, besides asked to take the assitance also from the concerned Sarpanches also for the effective implementation of the home isolation exercise.

Regarding Assar Naka the DDC directed the concerned to conduct the random sampling as per daily routine, besides directed to reinforce the naka with more men and machinery.

The meeting was attended by the Tehsildar Doda, Treasury Officer Bhaderwah, BMO’s, District Epidemiologist besides other concerned officials were also present.
