DODA, JULY 30: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today conducted extensive market checking, here in the Doda Township and inspects enforcement of Covid-19 safety measures and approved rates for the sale of sacrificial animals and other essential commodities.
The DDC interacted with the private livestock sellers and enquired about the rates on which the sacrificial animals are being sold. He asked the traders to sell the sacrificial animals as per the rates approved by the district administration. He directed Animal and Sheep Husbandry officials to ensure enforcement of approved rates in letter and spirit across the district.
The DDC also fined the shopkeepers and the people move around in the town without face mask. He directed the designated authorities to initiate legal proceedings against the violators.
It was informed that flying squads of different departments have been constituted across the district to curb the black marketing, hoarding and overcharging across the district ahead of the festival of Eid.
ASP, SHO and officials of enforcement departments accompanied the DDC during market checking.
