KARGIL JULY 27, 2020: Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and District Magistrate (DM) Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary on Sunday issued prohibitory orders for precautionary measures to prevent mass gathering owing to spread of COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Disease.
According to the order, consequent upon the death of two COVID-19 positive patients on 25th of July, 2020 the town area of Kargil has been declared containment zone to contain the spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic and it has been recommended by the District Health Department and the Surveillance Officers to restrict the public gatherings in and around the town as a precautionary measure at least for a period of 15 days.
Therefore, keeping in view this report and recommendation, the District Magistrate (DM) Kargil, in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 144 Cr PC is imposing restriction/ban over the assembly/gathering of more than five persons at the places Titichumik, TV Station, Bagh-e-Khomeini, Ando, Poyen, Shilikchay, Baroo and Petrol Pump Area with immediate effect for a period of one month.
Any violation of this order by any person(s) shall invite action under section 188 IPC, reads the order
