Leh, July 23: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by various delegations at Raj Niwas who submitted their memorandums requesting for due consideration.
A representation of Football Association Leh during their meeting with the Lt. Governor made a request to get their affiliation with All India Football Federation (AIFF). The delegation also requested UT government to encourage sports at the grass-root level and infrastructure facilities to promote games in the region.
Mrs Sujata Sahu, Founder 17000ft NGO apprised the Lt. Governor of the appreciation they received from the LAHDCs of Leh and Kargil for their contribution in improving the education standards. She informed about the works to be taken up by the organisation to standardize facilities like active library, solar Digi-lab, playground equipment, classroom furniture for government schools and to upgrade the ICDS centres in the twin districts of Ladakh and discussed their project.
A delegation of Ladakh Automobiles Association also put forth the issues pertaining to automobile dealers of Leh and Kargil including recognition of vehicle certification by Automobile Research Association of India. The Lt. Governor gave a patient hearing to all and assured to look into their issues.
