Kulgam, July 22 : A police man was killed after unidentified gunmen shot at him in Fuda area of area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.

They told that unidentified gunmen fired at a policeman Abdul Rashid Dar, a policeman by profession, leaving him critically injured. “Dar was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Kulgam where he succumbed,” officials said.

Medical Superintendent GMC Majeed Mehrab confirmed to  that Dar succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Meanwhile, police launched a massive manhunt to nab the attackers involved in the act.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar told  that Dar died after sustained bullet injuries. “Hunt has been launched track down the killers,” he said—(KNO)
