Srinagar, July 04: A court on Saturday convicted an accused lady for to ‘impersonation, Fake appointment’ in Animal Husbandry Department, a communiqué from Crime Branch said.
According to the official communiqué, the Crime Branch said that on Saturday, it secured conviction in a case under FIR number 22/2005 under sections 419, 420 RPC, related to impersonation, Fake appointment in Animal Husbandry Department.
“The case was being trialed before the Court of 3rd Additional Munsiff Srinagar. In the year 2005, Crime Branch Kashmir had received a complaint regarding illegal appointment of Ulfat, wife of Munshi Reyaz Ahmad of Zadibal Srinagar,” the statement said.
It added that subsequently, a case FIR number 22/2005 was registered in P/S Crime Branch Kashmir. “Chargesheet of the case was presented before the court of 3rd Additional Munsiff Srinagar. After a marathon trial of 12 years, the court convicted the accused lady to simple imprisonment for a period of one year and imposed a fine of Rs 3000 under section 419 Ranbir Penal Code,” it added.
Further, the accused as per the communiqué was sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment of one year and a fine of Rs 5000/- under section 420 RPC. However, both the offences shall run concurrently, in case of default in fine amount the convict shall undergo an imprisonment of six month –(KNO)
