17 more  COVID-19 positive cases detected in UT Ladakh

Leh, Jul 01: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, CMO Leh received 05 positive sample reports and CMO Kargil received 12 positive sample reports from COVID-19 Lab Chuchot Yokma yesterday.

Whereas, 46 patients in home isolation from Kargil district were discharged today after their negative sample reports are received by CMO Kargil yesterday.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh is 295; 112 in Leh district and 183 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 295 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.

The bulletin further reports that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Leh received 05 negative sample reports and CMO Kargil received 46 negative sample reports from PGIMER Chandigarh yesterday.

Today 87 samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing. Out of the total samples, 29 samples are sent by CMO Leh and 58 samples are sent by CMO Kargil.

76 passengers and 176 drivers and helpers of 116 trucks /tankers and light motors vehicles were screened at Khaltsi Check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitized.

The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 73 passengers yesterday, which include drivers and helpers of 30 tankers, 16 trucks and 02 light motor vehicles.
