Jammu: Gandhi Global Family J&K organised an overall 55th Covid-19 relief camp and it was 14th Camp in collaboration with Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicines (AYUSH) J&K and distributed immunity boosting drugs supplied by ISM for free distribution to the general public through their expert team of doctors in the premises of Shiv Mandir, Swami Vivekananda Chowk, Jammu.
350 people mostly senior citizens & children were examined by an expert team of doctors, Dr. Garima Sharma, Dr. Nidhi Sharma and Mr. Nishad Khajuria, Pharmacist deputed by Dr Suresh Sharma ADMO Jammu, Indian System of Medicines (ISM) – AYUSH J&K.
In addition, Medical Team from Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Urinary Disorders, Jammu was represented by Dr. Archana Mengi, Dr. Shivani Bhat, Shri Jagdish Chander, Dr. Manik Baldhotra and Mr. Arjun Kumar.
The medical camp was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police, Jammu Ms P Nitya in the presence of local community and appreciated the role of Indian Systems of Medicine and Gandhi Global Family.
In his message, Dr Mohan Singh- Director ISM recommended everyone to adopt herbal medicines and enhance their body immunity as a part of a proactive measure to fight corona virus.
GGF J&K President Padmashri Dr S P Varma expressed gratitude towards ISM AYUSH J&K, Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Urinary Disorders and was also grateful to Corporator Smt Ritu Choudhary, Shri Parshottam Mehra and his team for providing local support in organising the camp.
Corporator Smt Ritu Choudhary was grateful to ISM, RARIUD, Madam P Nitya (SP) and GGF volunteers and she also presented them with a Mata ki Chunni.
Earlier public awareness on COVID-19 was also conducted by the Doctors.

Overall the GGF 55th relief camp was dedicated to Raja Jambu Lochan, founder of Jammu city.
