5 more persons tested positive for COVID-19; Active cases drop to 478

Leh, June 26: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, informed that 28 patients in Home Isolation and 06 patients from COVID hospital were discharged from Leh district today. 54 patients in Home Isolation, 06 patients from COVID Hospital Kargil and 15 patients from COVID Care Centre Kargil were discharged today from Kargil district after their negative reports were received by the Health department Leh yesterday.

With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has dropped to 478; 116 in Leh district and 362 in Kargil district and further informed that the condition of all 478 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.

The bulletin further informs that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Leh yesterday received 03 positive sample reports and 41 negative sample reports of Leh district from PGIMER Chandigarh. Similarly, Chief Medical Officer Kargil also received 02 positive sample reports, 131 negative sample reports and 06 samples needed retesting.

Today the Health department sent 70 samples to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing. Out of the total samples, 29 samples were sent by CMO Leh and 41 samples were sent by CMO Kargil.

71 Passengers and 122 Drivers and Helpers of 73 Trucks /Tankers and light motors Vehicles were screened at Khaltsi Check post yesterday. The Vehicles were also sanitized.

The Health workers at Upshi check post Screened 02 passengers yesterday of 01 light vehicles.
