Srinagar : A viral video of Covid-19 positive patients playing cricket inside an isolation centre in north Kashmir’s Baramulla took social media by storm with international cricketer Jonty Rhodes including former chief minister of the erstwhile state Jammu and Kashmir sharing and praising the game.
Former international cricket player Jonty Rhodes who represented South Africa shared the video on his official Twitter handle and praised India for its love towards the game.
A viral video from indoor stadium Baramulla which has been turned into a designated isolation centre surfaced on social media which took netizens by storm
The video in which a number of people can be seen playing cricket inside the isolation centre while other patients lying on beds, were also seen enjoying the game.
The short clip earlier this week appeared on social media that evoked huge response from netizens with people showing their love, excitement and extending prayers for the Covid positive patients who are seen playing cricket in the video.
Jonathan Neil Rhodes, famously known as Jonty Rhodes who represented South Africa from 1992 to 2003 and is known for his fielding skills also shared the video on Friday and praised India for its love for the game.
“People ask me often; “what is it about India that I love so much” Need I say any more?,” he wrote in his Tweet.
Pertinently, Jonty Rhodes a year ago visited Kashmir valley where he toured world famous ski resort at Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and also shared his experience about the tour with all praises towards the natural beauty the valley possesses.
Earlier, former chief minister of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah also shared the video on his official Twitter handle. Omar wrote, “Have space, will play. Quarantine time pass.”
