Shopian, June 07: A gunfight broke out between  terrorist’s  and the security forces in Reban village in Zainapora belt of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday morning.

An official told , a joint team of Police, Army’s Ist RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorist’s  in the area.

He said tha as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding  terrorist’s fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between forces and terrorist’s.

As per the sources, two to three  terrorist’s are believed to be trapped in the area.
