Pulwama, June 02 : A terrorist has been killed in an exchange of fire in an ongoing encounter at Saimoh in Tral belt of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday morning.
A police officer told, that a terrorist has been killed in an ongoing exchange of fire so far while as two more are believed to be trapped.
Earlier an official said that a joint team of Awantipora Police, Army’s 42 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Meanwhile defense spokesperson in Srinagar said that, “Op Soyimuh (Pulwama).
Joint operation launched on 02 Jun on specific int. Cordon laid. Contact established early morning. Announcements made for terrorists to surrender. Firefight ensued”.
One terrorist killed. Op in progress, he said.
