6 Jaish associates involved in trade of money, drugs and arms held in Kashmir: Police

Srinagar, May June 01: The Jammu and Kashmir police Monday claimed to have busted a narco militant module working with pakistan based prescribed outfit JeM and transporting arms, ammunition to active militants in the Kashmir valley.

Officials told, that a narco militant module linked with banned militant outfit Jaish e Mihammad was busted and involved from parts of valley were apprehend along with incriminating material.

In a statement issued to The Earth  News Network police said ,”Acting on a specific input, Budgam police along with 50 RR army and D/29 CRPF busted a narco Militant module linked with banned Militant outfit JEM in Chadoora area of district Budgam”.

06 Militant associates namely identified as, Mudassir Fayaz r/o Kralpora, name withheld ,Shabir Ganaie r/o Wathoora, Sageer Ahmad poswal r/o Kupwara, Issaq Bhat r/o Shopian, and Arshid Thoker r/o Shopian, have been arrested and recoveries made in this regard are, one Chinese pistol ,one Pistol Magazine, four Pistol rounds, oneHand grenade, one kg Heroine and Cash amount of Rs.1,55,000, police said.

Poloce said, “As per initial investigation it has been revealed that this module was working in close connection with Pakistan based Militant handlers and were involved in drug trade, supply of weapons and money to active Militants of proscribed outfit JEM”.

Police also said “With their arrest inter connection between drug dealers and militants has also been exposed”,

In this connection case police said FIR under relevant provisions of UA(P) act and NDPS act has been registered in PS Chadoora and investigation taken up.
