Indian Army provides aid to Civilians in Kupwara affected by Pakistan CFV

Aid To Civilians by Vilgam Army Camp Post Pak Cease Fire Violation in village Tumna and Hachmargi of district kupwara

 

Kupwara, May 30 : Unprovoked firing by Pakistan Army on 12 Apr resulted in loss of lifes and property to locals of Tumna and Hatchmargi.

Vilgam battalion under the aegis of HQ 7 Sect RR helped the families of deceased child and those injured by providing initial relief in terms of money, clothes, essential household items and medical assistance to those injured. Cash and essentials worth Rs 1.5 Lac were distributed to affected civilians.

Today as part of second phase of assistance to the civil population of village Tumna and Hachmargi Vilgam Army Camp assisted locals in construction of bunkers & trenches (10 in Tumna & 7 in Hatchmargi) by digging with help of Earth movers & providing 50 tin sheets for Over Head Protection ( 30 in Tumna and 20 in Hatchmargi), 100 hollow blocks for protection against any future unprovoked CFV by Pakistan Army. Farooq Ah Katariya, R/O Tumna, who lost his house in Pak firing was given Rs 30,000/ cash in Apr and today was given 30 tin sheets, 30 cement bags and 04 Tractors of sand for reconstructing his house.

In addition to this a case has also been taken by the army with DC Kupwara regarding construction of permanent bunkers in both the villages.

In difficult situations like these the Army has always extended thier helping hand towards the awaam of Kashmir.
