Srinagar, May 29: The Bharatiya Janta Party on Thursday said there is no proposal with the Centre about formation of interim government or advisory council in Jammu & Kashmir.

Ravinder Raina, BJP’s J&K UT president, said there is no question about formation of interim government or advisory council in the UT. “This is all propaganda. There is no reality in it. The union government has no such proposal,” Raina said.

The BJP leader termed the rumours about formation of interim government in J&K as “fake news campaign” .

In the past few days, Kashmir Valley is abuzz with rumours that Apni Party leaders may be given a role in governance in J&K before Assembly elections.

Apni party is the lone political party of Kashmir Valley which has opened channels of communication with the Centre after abrogation of Article 370 by BJP-led government.

Its leaders met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in March this year.
