JAMMU, May 21: The 170th Board meeting of the J&K Services Selection Board was held under the Chairmanship of Khalid Jahangir, Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board at Central office JKSSB, Sehkari Bhawan, Bahu Plaza, Jammu.

The meeting was attended by the Members of the Board, M.Shafiq Chak, Angrez Singh Rana, Pritam Lal Atri , Harvinder Kour . Controller of Examination JKSSB Musheer Ahmad Mirza Special Secretary( Legal) Jung Bhadur, Secretary, JKSSB Ranjeet Singh and other officials assisted the Board in conduct of its proceedings.

During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on various agenda items related to recommendation withheld cases of various posts of Jr Staff Nurses of Five new GMC’s , Teachers and Junior Assistant (Migrants) and after due consideration, appropriate decisions were taken.

The Board have examined 76 recommendation with held cases and released 66 number of recommendation of withheld cases under various item no. of Jr Staff Nurses of Five new GMC’s , Teachers and JA (Migrants), declared two candidates as Not Eligible for not possessing requisite qualification as per Indent and also deferred 8 cases for further clarification.

It is pertinent to add that the Services Selection Board has decided to expeditiously dispose of all cases of withheld recommendations in a time bound manner and in the past few months have decided hundreds of such cases, giving immense relief to the candidates. All these measures are aimed to bring efficiency and accountability in the governance of the SSB.
