SRINAGAR, MAY 15:  As a part of drive against Illicit cultivation of Poppy crops, the enforcement wing of Excise and commercial Tax (ECT) department destroyed illicit poppy crop spread over 37 kanals of land in village Dangerpora of Tehsil Awantipora, District Pulwama, and Village Loktipora of Tehsil Bijebehara, District Anatnag.

In total, Illicit Poppy crop on 126 kanals of land has been destroyed in South Kashmir so far. The eradication drive shall continue till all illicit poppy crop in Kashmir valley is destroyed, the statement issued by the department said.
