900 J&K residents being brought back by Special Shramik Train from Nagpur

Srinagar, May 14:  A fleet of buses has been deployed since last evening for shifting J&K residents stranded in various parts of Maharashtra to Nagpur, the government said on Thursday.

“900 J&K residents including 400 students are being brought back by the Special Shramik Train scheduled to leave Nagpur for Udhampur this evening,” government said.

Earlier, it said before time arrival of Rajdhani at Jammu today, nearly 1000 passengers were received with utmost adherence to MHA & MoHFW guild lines on social distancing. “100% sampling of all passengers is being done. Protection of administrative staff and all other on duty also duly ensured,” it said.

Meanwhile, seven Buses carrying 175 people including 11 minors from Kashmir stranded in Jammu left from Bhatindi to their respective districts.
