Srinagar, May 12: More Kashmiri students who were stuck in Bangladesh arrived in Srinagar on Tuesday.
Official sources said that 161 stranded students arrived in Srinagar. They landed in a flight at Srinagar International Airport, screened and sent to administrative quarantine.
Earlier, 168 students mostly pursuing medicine in Bangladesh had arrived in Srinagar.
Officials said that all the students who arrived in Srinagar are medical students while more students will be back to Valley in more flights next week.
“There are 300 more students stuck in Bangladesh. Government has decided to evacuate them without any delay,” said the official.
The students earlier made an attempt to return to the Valley but were sent back to Bangladesh from international passenger terminal Benapole Landport, Jashore due to suspension of all international and domestic flights in India.
