Pulwama, May 06: Encounter has started between government forces and terrorists in Shaar village in Khrew Pamporw belt of South kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that on specific inputs about the presence of terrorists cordon and search operation was launched in the area by joint team of forces including 50 RR, CRPF and Awantipora Police
As forces zeroed towards suspected spot, hiding terrorists fired upon forces which was retaliated, triggering an encounter, he said
Two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped and operation was under way when this report was filled.
