Rajouri, May 04: A huge rush of people witnessed outside Jammu and Kashmir banks in twin districts of Jammu region turned out to be a nightmare for the officials when people were in a queue to get their monthly finance support including old age fund and widow fund.
Official sources disclosed that a huge rush of people was witnessed outside branches of Jammu and Kashmir Banks in Rajouri and Poonch, which turned out to be a nightmare for authorities who even used all available resources of crowd control.
“Thousands of account holders, belonging to poor families visited the bank branches to withdraw their monthly finance support by the government including Old age fund, widow fund and others, which has been credited into their accounts by the government” they said.
The rush of people amid the pandemic, sent alarm bells in the administration. “Even after deployment of police personnel outside every bank branch and other measures, the rush of people still exited in the area,”
Meanwhile, officers from district administration of Rajouri and Poonch said that best possible efforts have been made for crowd control outside banks.
