Srinagar, May 04: Army on Monday afternoon paid homage to the martyrs of Handwara encounter who lost their lives while saving the civilians taken   hostage by two terrorists in a residential house in Handwara in north Kashmir’s kupwara district.

Army on its official social media handle informed that, ” #ArmyCdrNC & all ranks paid homage to Col Ashutosh Sharma, SM**, Maj Anuj Sood, Nk Rakesh Kumar and L/Nk Dinesh Singh at BB Cantt. The gallant soldiers made #SupremeSacrifice in line of duty at Handwara on 02 May. Deepest condolences to the bereaved families”.
