Jammu May 01 : While the effect of the lockdown to contain the spread of novel coronavirus can be felt in all quarters, among those who have been hit the hardest are the lakhs of stray animals who are left without food.
Amid the nationwide lockdown in the wake of the rising Covid-19 cases Abhi Production Welfare Trust fed monkeys and stray animals to help them survive the shutdown. Abhi Production Welfare Trust Chairman Abhishek Bhagotra, Board of Director Dinesh Kumar Raina, Varun Verma, Aditya Goyal, Satpal Bittu, Chander Shekher, Shubham sharma, Tarun Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar, Anshuman Bhogal and other team members were seen feeding stray animals in various parts of the city.
While speaking Abhi Productions Welfare Trust Chairman Abhishek Bhagotra said, “It is very important to feed the stray animals during the lockdown period. We are trying our best to ensure that the stray animals, dogs, and cats can be fed. We are happy that since the lockdown has come into effect, we are feeding the animals at multiple places in the city. The help which is coming from the administration has given us more motivation”.
“No-one is taking care of them. That thought made us do all of this. If there are a hundred mouths to feed, we are perhaps able to feed only 10. We are urging more and more people to put their efforts from their ends as much as possible” he further added.
