Jammu Mar24 : Pakistani rangers opened fire in the Kathua district of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in violation of the ceasefire along the international border. The 45-year-old man was injured by this. He is admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Heavy firing from Pakistani Rangers started in Manyari from late Monday night in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. By this, Baideh Raj, a resident of Manayari village, got hurt due to the shelling of mortar shell. He was immediately admitted to Astpal sub-district of Hiranagar from where he was discharged after treatment. There was continuous firing from Pakistan shortly after 9.35 pm which continued till early morning. The soldiers of the Indian Border Security Force are giving a befitting reply to this firing of Pakistan. Due to unprovoked firing from Pakistan, a woman named Rekha Rani fell unconscious while the firing from across the border in Manyari damaged the houses of many people living in Manyari village. Due to the firing since last night, the villagers spent the whole night in the bunkers made by the army. The firing from the border innings has stopped at around 5 am on Tuesday morning.

An army spokesman said that Pakistan opened fire with small and large arms at the Line of Control located in Mendhar sector of Poonch district on Monday evening for no reason.

It is worth mentioning that on Sunday, Pak Army opened heavy firing in Mendhar sector of Poonch district at 10:30. The Indian Army also gave a befitting reply to this, but in spite of this, Pakistan is not deterred by its misdeeds. When the Pakistan Army had earlier targeted India’s forward posts, the Indian Army also gave a befitting reply, due to which the firing from Pakistan was stopped in Mendhar for some time.
