With sports across the world postponed for the foreseeable future due to coronavirus, sports stars are becoming more and more prolific on social media.

With the novel coronavirus bringing the sporting world to a halt, various sportspersons have been forced to find ways to occupy themselves during this unexpected break.

Everything from Olympic qualifiers, international and domestic athletics tournaments, football leagues, F1 races and cricket series have been affected.

As a result, athletes all over the world are in self-isolation as they attempt to stay free of the coronavirus to remain healthy ahead of the resumption of live sporting action.

Players have spent their whole lives running out on pitches and doing what they love. When that’s taken away from them, they simply don’t know what to do with themselves.

From Olympic sprint legend and multi-gold-medal winner Usain Bolt showcasing his football skills to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi taking the #StayAtHome challenge, many sports stars have joined the social media entertainment bandwagon.

In the cricketing world, since the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL) got postponed due to coronavirus, cricketers like Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan and others have come up with unique ways to kill time.

India’s ‘Multi-tasking’ cricketer KL Rahul shared a video on Instagram in which he can be seen knocking around a ball, spending time on his PlayStation, reading a book and fiddling on his phone.
