Jammu Mar 20 : The weather will again deteriorate in the state. According to the Meteorological Center Srinagar, heavy rain and snowfall has been warned in many parts of Jammu and Kashmir from 23 to 25 March. The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway may get hit due to inclement weather. There is every possibility of traffic getting affected.
The Mughal road connecting Srinagar-Leh National Highway and District Rajori and Poonch to Shopian (Kashmir) is already closed. Meanwhile, the day temperature has increased by 3 to 6 degrees above normal due to clear weather. Light rain may occur in some parts on Friday.
The weather remained clear in most parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. But it was also cloudy. In the summer capital, Srinagar, with the weather clear, the day temperature rose 5.7 degrees to 20.6 degrees Celsius below normal.
Leh, Gulmarg and Pahalgam maintain a freezing cold. Day temperatures have also gone above normal in other parts of Kashmir. The weather remained clear in Jammu amid light clouds. The day temperature here was 26.5 and a minimum of 14.4 degrees Celsius.
Bhadarwah was the coldest in the division with a minimum temperature of 3.9 ° C. Banihal recorded a minimum temperature of 5.0, 6.9 in Batot and 12.6 degrees in Katra.
