Jammu: A general council meeting of the District Cricket Association (DCA) Anantnag held under the presidentship of former Ranji cricketer, Abdul Qayoom Bagow to discuss promotion of cricket in the district.
It was decided in the meeting to extend the district level cricket activities scheduled to take place from March 22. The meeting proposed a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag regarding Sports Stadium Anantnag.
Various committees were constituted for smooth running of the district association including that of executive committee, funds generating-cum-tournament committee and coordinating committee.
The meeting also restructured the district body with Ghulam Rasool Bhat (president), Showkat Rashid Dada (vice president), Wasim Jan Mir (secretary), Mohd Lateef Gilkar (treasurer), Shujahat Mufti, Farooq Ahmed Akhnoon and Syed Azad Ahmad Shah (all joint secretary).
Executive Body: Gh. Rasool Nadaf, Layeek Ahmad Khan, Kafeel Ahmad Khan, Hilal Ahmad Zargar,
Ashiq Hussain Qamar, Manzoor Ah. Wani, Zahid Hussain Mufti, Ajaiz Ahmad Bhat, Peer Altaf Hussain, Syed Shafakat Hussain, Mohd Ameek Khan.
Funds Committee: Wasim Jan Mir, Mohd Amin Wani, Farooq Ah. Akhoon, Riyaz Ahmad Parray, Shafeeq Ahmed Mir (Dimple), Jaleel Bhat, Sarmad Shareef Dar, Shabir Ah. Wayag and Imran Ashraf Bazaz.
Coordinating Committee: Manzoor Ah Wani, Wasim Jan Mir, Mohd Lateef Gilkar, Ashiq Hussain Qamer and Zahid Mufti.
