Jammu: A delegation of NIS trained coaches, led by former legislator Vikram Randhawa called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation apprised the Lt Governor of their issues and said that a number of sportspersons from Jammu and Kashmir were trained from NIS Patiala and later engaged as community coaches by the government in their respective districts, adding that even after giving good results; J&K Sports Council discontinued their services without any justification.
The delegation demanded the utilization of their sports skills to uplift the sports culture in the Union Territory of J&K.
The Lt. Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that their genuine demands would be looked into on priority.
