Jammu Mar 15 : Like other parts of the country, the city of Jammu is facing a slump in the face of the ever increasing threat of corona virus. Except for food items in the city, work has been reduced by 70 percent in all other areas. Alam is that customers in the city markets are absent and people are leaving the house only for necessary purchases.

The worst effect of the Corona crisis has been on the city’s hotel business, and almost all the hotels are currently empty. Most of the goods in Jammu market come from Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai. Inflows from these cities have also been steadily decreasing for the last fifteen days. Due to this, there is also a shortage of goods in the city. These sectors have been affected due to the decrease in textile, electronic, confectionery and plastic goods. Prices of pulses and edible oil have also been continuously falling due to lack of business.
