Bovine Smuggling Bid Foiled, 13 Bovines Rescued

Samba, Dec 03, TEN Network |   Continuing its endeavour to thwart the evil designs of the bovine

smugglers, District Police Samba once again succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling

bid by rescuing 13 bovines in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal.

 

Acting on reliable informatioin about bovine smuggling, a Police Party

of P/S Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal, Inspr. Sudhir Sadotra under the

supervision of Sh. Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during routine vehicle

checking at Naka NHW Tapyal, intercepted one Canter bearing Regd. No. JK08G-

5852 which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the vehicle, 13

bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegaly

without any permission. All the bovines were rescued and the vehicle used for illegal

transportation was also seized on the spot. In this regard a case FIR No. 108/2019

U/S 188 IPC, 2/11 PC Act, stands registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation

started to nab the driver.
