Div Com reviews arrangements for second phase of ‘Back to Village’ programme

SRINAGAR:

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting, here, to review the arrangements made for the second phase of Back to Village (B2V-2) program in Kashmir Division, commencing from November 25th to 30th.
Deputy Commissioners of various districts of Kashmir attended the meeting through video conferencing.
On the occasion, Div Com enquired from the Deputy Commissioners about the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of the program.
The DDCs informed the meeting that all necessary arrangements have been made and the list of the visiting officers has been finalized. It was informed that the training is being imparted to them.


The Div Com asked the Deputy Commissioners to take every measure to make Phase-II of the programme a success. He said that the aim of the programme is to strengthen democracy at grass root level and to improve developmental pace in rural areas besides creating a genuine partnership between the administration and the people towards a brighter and prosperous future.
Div Com said the focus of the phase-II of the programme will be doubling farmer income besides functioning of Panchayats, public grievances and infrastructural projects.
It will also focus on the impact of various flagship programmes and welfare schemes which will help the government to come up with specific interventions to make the village life further qualitative in terms of improved amenities and facilities.
