Surankote, Nov 18, TEN Network | Search operation which was launched jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies following the gunshots along the Mughal road causing intense fear among the residents of surankote in Jammu division last night is still underway with more reinforcement rushed to the spot following the incident, sources said.
Sources told The Earth News that, gunshots were heard last night near Surankote locality following which security forces reached the scene and launched a massive cordon and search operation which is still going on.
No contact has been established so far with the suspected gunman security forces in large numbers have been deployed to tackle the situation, sources further said.
Post the abrogation of Article 370 terrorists are trying hard to make their grounds in different parts of the Jammu region like that in, Rajouri, Doda, Ramban and other places but all such attempts have been foiled by the alert security forces so far.
