SAMBA OCTOBER 06: District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Sushma Chauhan today said that the district administration Samba has made elaborate arrangements for free and fair conduct of Urban Local Body polls across 4 municipal committees of the district.
Speaking at a media briefing here, she said “District Samba falls under the 3rd phase of Municipal Election schedule and the polling in the district shall be held on 13th Oct in 04 Municipal Committees viz MC Samba, MC Bari-Brahmana, MC Vijaypur, MC Ramgarh, in which 242 nominations have been received after withdrawal’’. She further informed that all basic facilities like Drinking Water, Electricity, Toilet etc has been put in place for facilitating the voters. She also informed that necessary security arrangements been put in place and special security deployment shall be made at all polling stations to thwart any untoward incident.
