POONCH, OCTOBER 03: General Observer, Vedraj today chaired a meeting of Micro Observers and AEROS and asked them to adopt a vigilant approach for smooth conduct of Urban Local Body elections in the Poonch district.

While briefing about the setting up of EVMs at polling stations, the General Observer directed the polling staff to arrive at the polling stations well in time i.e before 6 am and conduct mock poll practice in the presence of registered agents of various political parties. In case of absence of such polling agents, conduct your mock polling in presence of Micro Observers, he added.

He also directed the Micro Observers to carefully check and distribute slips among the voters in the queue and further instructed them to ensure the ink mark on the finger of voters after they cast their votes.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Election Officer Poonch, Shazia Kouser, AROs and several polling staff members.

Meanwhile, Master Trainers also imparted technical training to Micro-Observers.
