SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 12: The J&K Women Development Corporation (JKWDC) has held a series of awareness camps at different places of Shopian and Pulwama districts.
The main objectives of these camps were to highlight the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment schemes being implemented in the State by the JKWDC.
District Manager Shopian and Pulwama JKWDC, Tahir Parvez, highlighted the benefits of various schemes during the awareness camps.
Besides sessions focused on the benefits of schemes like NMDFC, NBCFDC, NHFDC, Educational Loan Scheme among others.
The awareness camps included sessions offering general awareness about health and hygiene, women empowerment, micro-financing, and role and formation of self-help groups.
The camps also included sessions by speakers from the Social Welfare Department, various NGOs and educational institutions.
Deserving women were also identified for coverage under different schemes during these camps.
