DDC Udhampur launches e-Plant clinics

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 12: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar in presence of Chief Agriculture Officer, Ashok Verma today inaugurated e-Plant Clinics here today.

Around four e-plant clinics have been established by Agriculture Department in collaboration with CABI which will cover the entire district besides providing guidance to the farmers and staff of Agriculture Department.

Underlining the importance of e-Plant clinics, the DDC said that the main objective of launching of e-plant clinic in the district is to make easy access for reaching out to the farmers, taking the technological innovations and research with the advancements in the agriculture sector to enhance production.  He informed that these clinics will be made functional at Majalta, Ramnagar, Udhampur, and Chennai which help the farming community in identification of disease pest and other crop infestations and also provide on spot remedial measures.

DDC also interacted with the farmers on the occasion.

The event was organized by ADIO NIC, Anish Sharma, with coordination of Agriculture Department.

Among others, District Agriculture Officer, Ajay Sharma, Sub- Divisional Agriculture Officer Udhampur Harbans Singh besides staff members of concerned department were present.
