Meets scores of deputations at JK Governor’s Grievance Cell

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 24: Urging upon people to highlight the developmental deficiencies in their respective areas and districts, Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmed Ganai today said redressing key developmental issues is the topmost priority of the Governor’s Administration.

The Advisor expressed these views during his Public Durbar at JK Governor’s Grievance Cell here today, while interacting a delegation from Babapora, Birigam (Qazigund) who sought macadamization of approach road connecting the said village with Kulgam.

Ganai said as responsible citizens’ it is duty of every person to raise issues with regard to developmental works in their respective areas or districts, so that the same are addressed to ensure that the local populace do not have to face any difficulties.

Another delegation comprising of contractors of JKTDC raised the issue release of funds against the works done.

The Advisor took up the matter with Principal Secretary Planning & Development and directed him to earmark funds in trenches to liquidate the genuine liabilities as certified by JKTDC.

The delegation from Ahangar Mohalla of Kache Rahgeer in Khansahib Budgam and Akhzar Avenue in Ellahi Bagh Buchpora flagged the issue of augmentation of electric transformers in their respective areas to mitigate people’s sufferings.

Another delegation from Zangli Kashira from district Kupwara sought issuance of solar lamps so that the people especially children do not have to face difficulties during evening hours following power curtailments.

More than 41 delegations and scores of other individuals from various parts of the Kashmir division called on the Advisor and apprised him with their issues and grievances.

During the 3 hour-long public hearing, the Advisor heard all delegations and assured them of redressing their grievances, He also issued on spot directions to the concerned officers asking them to take cognizance of the issues and redress the same forthwith.

He assured the visiting delegations that the Government would ensure outcome-based disposal of the issues raised by the people.
