EARTH NEWS SERVICE Jammu, Dec 20 |15: While appreciating the recent initiative of CM Mufti Sayeed for promotion of Jammu’s Suchetgarh on Wagah lines, non government organization namely “People’s Action & Public AccountabilityPAPA” stressed upon the overall promotion of aggrieved Jammu & its other isolated tourist destinations facing cruelty of the out gone Congress/National conference regimes and dummy or socalled opponent faces of BJP. People of Jammu in particular were extra hope full from CM Mufti on priority lines for some effective and harsh steps against the corrupt, the actual culprits involved in loot of state exchequer and people’s rights but his weak proceedings against corruption & it’s curbing agencies are quite demoralizing and can’t be overshadowed or entertained by merely development related announcements, it added. Of course, Mufti has a vision for overall public development particularly the most important subject of “Tourism” a field/source of state economy but till now it was developed merely for money spending tourists while ignoring the needs of overstressed state residents including our students in particular, PAPA stated. An acute absence of cost effective resorts or picnic spots within state for students or other marginal families must be seen as a blot on the face of state rulers and their puppet administrative heads, PAPA alleged. On the contrary, the most corrupt officers like Talat Parvez were given free hand for day light loot in the capacity of incharge Bhaderwah development authority, MD Gularg Gandola & Director tourism Srinagar under the patronization of bosses like GA Mir, then tourism minister & present congress president of state, it further alleged. Half of the looted amount could have satisfied the aspirations of our students’ community within valley at least, it added. Present Mufti lead PDP-BJP coalition instead of including such officers in deadwood list, has provided suitable adjustments, it added. Similarly tourism heads of Jammu wing were always having a dummy approach and spent the sanctioned money just on repeated renovations of city tourist center while ignoring the above said priorities, PAPA alleged. Getting fed-up from the out gone NC/Cong ruling regimes and the selfish/dummy faces of BJP the so-called opponents of past and rulers of present coalition, people of Jammu region expect some urgent steps from Mufti Sayeed for needed development of Sruinsar-Mansar Lakes and an early development of beautiful resorts/picnic spots for students’ entertainment, PAPA urged. If possible, play ground facility also be considered along with such spots while charging a nominal amount for day to day care too, it further urged.
