The dharna was lifted when the Joint Municipal Commissioner and other officers came to the spot and assured the protesters that necessary measures would be taken to redress their problems. Jamwal said that the people will not allow the Corporation to install the plant as this is going to be a constant irritant for the area. He said that National Conference will not allow the pollution of Surya Putri Tawi and all such attempts would be foiled.
