Jammu, Dec 06|15: Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sukhnandan Kumar stressed on providing conducive environment to the sportspersons to nurture their talent so that they bring laurels to the state. The Minister was speaking during the concluding function of Bawa Jitto Kabaddi Gold Cup-2015 organized by Shiv Public Higher Secondary School, Sari and Bawa Jitto Sports Club here today. Member of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas was also present on the occasion. The Minister said that various reformative steps have been taken to improve sports infrastructure and providing requisite facilities to the sportspersons across the state. He said sports are the best medium to channelize the energy of the youth in right direction making them physically and mentally fit. He appreciated the organizers of the event and said that such type of events help in promoting Kabaddi among the youth which is gaining popularity all across the globe.
