EARTH NEWS SERVICE Jammu, Nov 29 |15: “Sceptical opposition which couldn’t do much during its tenure is now giving false impression to people of Jammu and Kashmir State merely for staying in picture and surviving. The opposition in fact has lost credibility which was why people rejected it and installed People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state as a viable alternative”. This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and member J&K State Advisory Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals, Abdul Hamid Choudhary who also added that recently constituted Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) was also aimed at boosting tourism and economy of the state. Hamid Choudhary said in just less than ten months of its coming to power the coalition government plugged all loopholes and ended corrupt practices, discouraged backdoor appointments, brought an order into the functioning in government departments, initiated all stalled or abandoned projects which are now being periodically monitored and most importantly involved people into various institutions to make them more vibrant. The PDP leader said central government adhered to the demand of coalition and released about Rupees 80,000 crore for infrastructural development besides helping flood victims. This is just a beginning and coalition has many more miles to go but unlike past it is neither making false promises with people nor starting half-baked projects only to abandoned in later on stages. The government, he said means business which was why every step is being taken firmly.
